CPRA Permits

PERMITS

You can register your vehicle for a CPRA permit at the Park Durham office listed below or register online by following the instructions below: Residential Permits In order to obtain a Residential Permit you must attach a copy of your vehicle registration showing a qualified CPRA Zone address. To view eligible streets in the CPRA Zone click here. If you do not have a copy of your vehicle registration please attach a copy of your Residential Lease Agreement AND a recent Utility Bill displaying the approved CPRA address. The permit site will require you to attach your vehicle registration or residential lease agreement and utility bill. You will not be able to proceed without uploading a document. Residential Permits are free and are valid for 1 year. We will review your attachment and email you if you are approved or declined for a residential permit.

 

Visitor Permits

In order to obtain a Visitor Permit pass for your guests, you must first have an approved Resident Permit pursuant to 1-11 (b) (c) of Ord. No. 14811, § 1, 6-15-2015. If you have a Resident Permit, login with your Permit ID and Vehicle Plate # found in your approval email and follow the instructions to obtain a Visitor Temporary Pass. Once the guest vehicle plate has been added, the visitor permit will be valid for your guest for a maximum of one week. If your guest is visiting for more than one week, a guest may be issued a visitor permit pass for an additional week once the original visitor pass has expired. If your guest is visiting for more than one week, a guest may be issued a visitor permit pass for an additional week by following the same process once the original visitor pass has expired.

 

Special Permits

A Special Permit is for a service provider to a CPRA residence or a Temporary Rental Vehicle for a CPRA resident. In order to obtain a Special permit the CRPA resident must attach a copy of your vehicle registration showing a qualified CPRA Zone address. If you do not have a copy of your vehicle registration please attach a copy of your Residential Lease Agreement AND a recent Utility Bill displaying the approved CPRA address. In addition, you must attach the Special Permit Application found here.

 

The permit site will require you to attach your vehicle registration or residential lease agreement and utility bill AND the Special Permit Application. You will not be able to proceed without uploading a document. Special Permits are free and are valid for 1 year. We will review your attachment and email you if you are approved or declined for a Special Permit.

 

NOTE:

You will not be receiving a CPRA sticker or hangtag. Permit Parking is controlled and enforced through your license plate number. Please ensure your license plate number is correct when applying for a permit.
